Requisition Summary
As Commodity Manager of Information Technology (IT), which includes the procurement of software, hardware, and professional services, this individual will be responsible for partnering with and supporting internal business units, functional groups, and associated stakeholders, while executing on strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management initiatives.
Categories include but will not be limited to the following:
IT infrastructure requirements,
Cloud and on-premise software application contracts,
Licensing and maintenance agreements,
Consultation and staff augmentation contractual services, along with the execution of the associated software and hardware licensing agreements,
Master service agreements, (MSAs) and or statements of work, (SOWs).
This position will be responsible for managing PACCAR's commercial relationship with IT providers, driving commercial strategies to control costs and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will be a proven change agent in the field of IT, Purchasing and supplier relationship management focused on delivering the highest value of products and services to internal and external customers at the lowest total cost.
This position will be based out of Renton, WA.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
* Provide oversight, feedback and direction on SOWs and MSAs.
* Provide Purchasing support, representation, and participation in all issues related to assigned IT procurement requirements.
* Support the development of strategic sourcing events, supplier and negotiation strategies, and work plans, in conjunction with stakeholders, and support execution to established timelines.
* Support the identification, research, and evaluation of various technology providers that meet the organization's standards of quality, value, timing, service, and reliability of supply
* Manage suppliers for multiple manufacturing and other business locations within assigned commodity categories, to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership. The scope of this position requires working closely with multiple departments, plants, and executive leaders.
* Negotiate and manage all aspects of PACCAR relationships with suppliers, including commercial and contractual requirements with respect to total cost, implementation, customer service, and performance, while minimizing risk.
* Facilitate Supplier Relationship Management efforts, including strategic segmentation and supplier rationalization.
* Manage and enhance supplier performance through the establishment of KPI's/SLA's (contract content), and effective supplier and stakeholder interaction.
* Manage and lead Purchasing process improvements, using 6-Sigma tools to improve throughput and eliminate non-value-add activities.
* Work with customers to identify and document project requirements, prepare RFQs, perform supplier selection using 6-Sigma tools, and implement projects. Work closely with senior division leadership, and key departmental stakeholders, along with the company Legal department, to draft contracts and other documents.
* Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers, plants, divisions, and corporate personnel at all management levels.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum 5 years of Purchasing, large technology and professional service contract negotiations, or related experience
* Flexible and proactive team leader with the ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks concurrently
* Project management experience
* Strong technical acumen, general IT product/industry knowledge, technical consulting services and contractual requirements preferred
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation
* Proven organization, negotiation, planning, and analytical skills
* Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals
* Business, industry, and commodity acumen
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills, including data mining, summarization, and presentation
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field required. Masters or MBA preferred.

Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
