Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Aerospace. You will be the engineering project leader and be the primary decision maker for program cost, schedule, and engineering issues. You will lead a team in the prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance for Avionics Aircraft Integration/Application Programs (Epic, Apex, and Anthem) and/or displays hardware programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Avionics Engineering Programs across multiple Centers of Excellence
Work with CBT, PMO, and other leadership
Manage cost and schedule
Assess and drive achievement of programs
Strategy development
Early problem detection and course correction.
Annual Operating Plan
Involvement with program pursuits and launches
Manage Program Metrics
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
15+ Years of experience in software and/or hardware development/management
WE VALUE
Experience leading Aerospace engineering projects and/or teams
Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
Ensures that departmental core competencies include continuous PE skill development.
Understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers.
Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives.
Persuade to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
Significant experience in Aerospace hardware, software and/or systems engineering
