Responsibilities



The Master Training Consultant is responsible for leading innovation and research and development for Hazelden Publishing's Professional Education Solutions department. This position is responsible for the development of innovative and disruptive clinical training services aimed at national markets across the behavioral health spectrum, as well as maintenance and integration of existing evidence-based curriculum trainings into the national strategy.
In addition to contributing to programming innovation, this leader will be tasked with leading new and existing Professional Education Solutions staff members in a variety of effective clinical practices, maintaining systems that allow for sustainable development and education related to market and industry trends, and establishing the culture and vision for the department. This position will be active in the role of business development, and will be expected to produce industry-leading content via research publications, public speaking engagements, conference presentations, and media across mediums.
Build relationships and develop business on a national level
Identify market opportunities and pilot disruptive and innovative projects for growth
Provide consultation training and systems change services for Hazelden Publishing's strategic growth initiatives
Work with organization staff to support program growth initiatives






Qualifications



Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in in education, health, human services, counseling or related field
3 years of experience at the supervisory, management or leadership level in the behavioral health, medical, or related field
3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting providing services to individuals diagnosed with substance use and mental health disorders
2 years of experience as an effective training facilitator to small and large audiences with extensive knowledge of the adult learning principles
History of development and implementation of innovative clinical programming related to integrated care for substance use disorders and mental health concerns
Demonstration of world-class thought leadership and history of successful, disruptive innovation
Familiarity with research protocols and experience developing complex research projects with diverse stakeholders
Experience in successful application for federal, state, and private funding for programming across settings
Experience engaging and convening high-level behavioral health leadership and stakeholders to create systems change and improvements
Demonstration of critical thinking and disruptive innovation
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or Doctorate degree in behavioral health related field
National certifications related to innovative clinical models related to addiction and co-occurring disorders, trauma-responsive care, issues specific to corrections and community supervision settings, and medication-assisted treatment
Development and supervision of clinical programming with a demonstrated track record of success
History of advocacy work related to treatment of substance use and mental health disorders and issues related to social determinants of health
Demonstrated ability to develop sustainable, culturally-appropriate programming for traditionally-underserved populations.
Knowledge of the philosophy, products and services offered by Hazelden and experience implementing Hazelden Publishing's evidence-based curricula
Knowledge and experience serving children and families, trauma-responsive services, justice-involved individuals, individuals diagnosed with Opioid Use Disorder, 12-Step and other recovery fellowships and principles, Medicare, Medicaid and CMS billing, Community Mental
Health Centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers
Experience in successful application for federal, state, and private funding for programming across settings
Experience coordinating and guiding systems change
Publication of research in peer-reviewed journals
Experience teaching in a post-secondary setting
