As a Sales Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the ready-mix concrete industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, while working closely with seasoned professionals in the field.
Responsible For:
* Market Research and Analysis: Research potential clients, competitors, and market trends.
Analyze data to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
* Lead Generation: Assist in identifying and qualifying sales leads through various channels.
Collaborate with the sales team to build and maintain a robust lead pipeline.
* Sales Support: Provide administrative support to the sales team, including the preparation of sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
Attend client meetings and industry events to gain exposure to customer interactions.
* CRM Management: Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to organize and track sales activities.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions.
* Customer Engagement: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, address inquiries, and provide information about our ready-mix concrete products and services.
Assist in building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with clients.
What we are looking for:
* Currently enrolled in the Concrete Industry Management Program at South Dakota State University
* Familiarity with all commonly used computer software (MS OfficeSuite, etc.).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* A basic understanding of sales principles and techniques is a plus.
