Job Summary:
The Catering Sales Coordinator (CSC) will answer and respond to general Catering and Events inquiries as well as assist in prep and day of catered events. The CSC must be able to deal with a high volume of incoming calls, understand and create Banquet Event Orders (BEO's), diagrams and other event materials, maintain filing systems, act as a liaison with other departments when necessary, and maintain a professional environment. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead by example.
Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, and provides suggestions for growth to management.
Complete Banquet Event Order (BEOs) for clients and operational departments to communicate specific needs and details for events.
Responsible for creating packets for catered events that may include: admission tickets drink tickets, signage, betting vouchers, wrist bands.
Responsible for coordinating sponsored races and communicating detailed information to departments.
Complete administrative tasks supporting all catering sales efforts as assigned by the Senior Manager of Catering & Events including but not limited to: preparing sales kits, making drink/buffet tickets, requesting betting vouchers, creating diagrams and other duties as assigned.
Responsible for understanding the live racing and year-round catering menus as well as all live racing group areas sold & non live spaces.
Adjust and confirm final counts and food & beverage changes on BEO's and update Senior Manager of Catering & Events and departments to any BEO changes.
Assist with catered event and other department areas as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma, pursuing or has acquired an Associates or Bachelor' degree in Sales, business or communications and 2 years or more of progressive experience in hospitality and sales/conference services or related field; OR any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been achieved.
Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must have strong communication skills.
Must be able to interact with guests, co-workers and vendors in a professional, courteous manner.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the food and beverage industry
Experience in catering operations.
Experience with Triple Seat and Social Tables.
