Our extensive training provides our technicians the expertise required to assist surgeons and be successful in this exciting position. This is a part-time position with guaranteed 3 days per week.

Work Location: Orlando, FL

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides logistics to prepare for, participate in, and complete surgical laser procedures

    • Delivers medical equipment to hospitals and surgery centers

    • Performs pre-operative checklists, sterilization, and laser calibrations

    • Prepares case paperwork and operating room

    • Conducts laser inventories

  • Demonstrates technical proficiency with a variety of medical lasers and related equipment

    • Performs laser calibrations

    • Provides technical laser guidance to surgeons/staff prior to and during surgeries

  • Provides service excellence to customers

    • Reviews patient procedure requirements with surgeon/staff before the case

    • Supports staff during the case and ensures a successful case is completed

  • Enforces safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques

  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with both ForTec and client employees, promoting a cooperative and harmonious working environment

Key Requirements:

  • Prior medical or surgical background, EMT training or military background preferred

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings/ late evenings due to surgery schedules

  • Ability to travel frequently; some overnight travel required

  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record

  • Ability to push, pull, and manipulate over 50 pounds of medical equipment

  • Professional demeanor

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability

  • Strong problem solving skills / solution focused

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail

  • Basic computer skills required
