You Are:
The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for making sure AFS enterprise systems align with defined security and technical controls and are implemented in a compliant manner. The Technical Engineer will be working with the various application owners to ensure the systems meet the defined controls (e.g. configuration management, access management, audit, and logging policies, etc.).
Design, develop, test, and/or maintain moderately complex hardware, technology, and/or processes. Design and develop moderately complex technical solutions. Use a process-driven approach in designing solutions.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Provide guidance and support for system security by performing complete assessments of the system portfolio and ensure prompt compliance.
- Provide advice and insight into the overall management and evaluation of the system security posture.
- Assist in documentation of systems governed by NIST standards.
- Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced monitoring and management.
- Mitigate risks and vulnerabilities in network, system, and application areas.
- Support the building of security architectures and technical solutions that meet defined security requirements.
Here's What You Need:
- US Citizen required.
- Highly technical, with a deeply analytical mind-set
- 5+ years of IT platform fundamentals experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience delivering and sustaining technical and cloud solutions.
- Experience in the administration of Microsoft OS Servers (Patch, STIG, configure, and troubleshoot)
- Expertise in DevOps tools, Configuration Management, Cloud Infrastructure, and Automation
- Demonstrated experience with scripting capabilities using PowerShell, CMD, Bash, Python, etc.
- 3+ years of experience performing on agile/scrum team.
- Experience with databases, LDAP and directory services, application servers, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Identity Lifecycle regarding privileged accounts and how people use accounts.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of troubleshooting and configuring Privileged applications, Privileged ID Management, and API integrations.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member in a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with Federal NIST standards and Guidelines
- Previous work on US Federal engagements
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify potential areas of improvement and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ability to develop strong professional relationships with fellow team members.
