o Four years or more of information technology experience.
o Associate's/vocational/technical degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), information technology, or an approved information technology field related to the position and two years or more of information technology experience.
o Completion of five college/vocational/technical information technology courses or completion of an approved IT Hennepin County internship and two years or more of information technology experience.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, management information systems (MIS), information technology or an approved information technology field related to the position.

• Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Azure, Lean Six Sigma, IIS Administration, or other certifications related to the position.
• Four years or more of experience:
o Supporting critical systems, researching, testing, implementing, onboarding, and supporting software and applications.
o Setting up SharePoint libraries and lists.
o Analyzing and implementing SQL queries and statements.
o Installing, configuring, managing servers, computers (desktop, laptop, printers, scan devices), and vendor equipment (Getac Laptops, Genetec Security Systems, etc.)
o Working with Power Platform technologies such as Power Automate and Power App.
o Working on projects that involve system integrations, data migration, and/or application implementation/upgrades.
o Monitoring complex systems.
o Administering and maintaining Windows, Security, and Corrective Action Measures.
o Operating Windows PowerShell Scripting.
o Defining standards and governance of processes and supporting technology.
o Developing user and IT support level documentation.
• Ability to provide customer service in managing ticket triage and desktop support.
• Knowledge of SharePoint Power User with level one experience.

Description
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking an IT Technical Analyst II. Members of this team work together to deliver technical support to customers in DOCCR and other Law, Safety and Justice partners. This position will work closely with DOCCR IT technical/infrastructure staff and Hennepin County Central IT partners to create and support the department's infrastructure, hardware, and technical equipment within the facilities and systems/applications/solutions. This requires high-level technical support and system analysis to identify, prevent, and resolve service interruptions in DOCCR networks and systems. This work can involve developing and improving processes, establishing governance best practices, developing and maintaining test environments and planning, translating technical requirements, testing applications, documenting, implementing and troubleshooting IT solutions, providing security solutions, and managing relationships with vendors and consultants on IT related contracts.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed at various community corrections facilities in Hennepin County, and remote as job duties require. Primary work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position will require on call support for after hours assistance (on call support is two weeks per year and scheduled in advanced). While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

At this time, employees may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $1,906.94 that can be earned annually based on performance.

In this position, you will:
• Serve as a primary technical contact to all county departments for support issues around identified systems.
• Ensure consistent performance of critical IT systems through development of policies, guidelines, processes, and security roles.
• Provide insight, expertise, technical vision, and leadership for maintenance, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
• Support the timely development of tools, reports, functions, and other features as requested by management that result in improved functionality and user experience.
• Recommend network, software, application, computer hardware, and service and system changes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems relating to system, network, database, and other large-scale systems and environments.
• Research new technologies and industry trends and provide direction and subject matter expertise to leadership on decision making for county owned and operated systems.
• Lead in the development of services and environments that are scalable for future reliability, growth, performance, productivity, and security.
• Train employees in computer software, hardware, infrastructure technology usage.
• Set up SharePoint libraries, lists, and support for questions for all county departments.
