Kapili Services, LLC is looking for a qualified  Information Technology Analyst-System Administration Level II System Administration to support a customer in providing configuration, management, maintenance and support of local area networks (LAN’s), servers, personal computers and related peripherals, customer support, computer operations.

  • Often acts as a technical resource and troubleshoots computer hardware, peripherals, and software in terms of reliability, maintenance efficiency, and compatibility with existing and planned corporate systems and licensing
  • Evaluates hardware, peripheral, and software configurations in accordance with forestry and other applicable standards
  • Participates in hardware analysis and configuration studies involving personal computers, servers, as well as LAN and WAN systems
  • Performs enterprise backups using software such Symantec Backup Exec and coordinates team collaboration environment with Collabnet TeamForge software
  • Develops and maintains inventory of Information Technology (IT) equipment. Installs, configures, and maintains software on all versions of the Windows operating system and with customer IBM systems and networks
  • Participates in teams
  • Works on defined system administration tasks, with guidance from published procedures, manuals
  • Applies published solutions that are learned from similar problems (tasks and solution(s) are well defined)
  • Is able to complete complex system administration tasks with input from peers or fellow contractors

Degree/Education/Certification Requirements: 

  • BA/BS in computer science or information sciences

 

CERTIFICATIONS:

Possess or ability to acquire within six months of contract start date the following certifications or equivalents acceptable to the Government:

  • Esri Enterprise System Design Associate 10.5 AND, AND one or more virtualization certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of systems management experience in the configuration, management, maintenance and support of local area networks (LAN’s), servers, personal computers and related peripherals, customer support, computer operations
  • Experience with Symantec or other widely used commercial backup and IT security software, Microsoft Server 2008 and later, and Windows desktop operating systems (7 and later)
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS software products and IT security

  • Communicates adequately both in verbal and written form
  • Can perform tasks that usually involve one or more technological discipline
