About the role:

Our team in Arden Hills, MN is searching for an Industrial Engineer II to join their team. Industrial Engineers at Boston Scientific drive and implement continuous improvement throughout the business. The team works cross-functionally across operations to eliminate waste and improve product, material and information flow through production, and new product development and business processes.

Your responsibilities will include:
Facilitate production and business process kaizen events to improve quality, cost, delivery, and safety
Develop and apply lean tools knowledge such as line balancing, mistake proofing, value stream mapping, changeover reduction, statistical data analysis, pull systems, standard work, line flow design
Develop and apply knowledge of product design, production and business processes to identify improvement opportunities across the value stream
Lead projects requiring problem solving or process improvement roadmaps and tools
Coordinate and lead cross-functional workstation and line design projects to reduce work content, improve line flow and optimize space requirements for equipment and people
Promote lean culture and operational excellence principles across site
Establish labor standards for product costing
Facilitate Lean training for employees at all levels and departments
Create and update line layouts in AutoCAD
Continually build and apply technical knowledge discovered through benchmarking and continuing education opportunities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, or other related area
2+ years of related experience
Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Experience with facility layouts, specifically utilizing AutoCAD
Proven ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading site wide process improvement initiatives
