    Amentum is seeking to fill a critical opening for a Junior RF Engineering Technician to join our Dahlgren, VA team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Effects Division.

    JR. RF Engineering Technician Responsibilities Include:

    • Operating and maintaining equipment necessary to support conduct of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3)

    • Testing/certification of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems.

    • Determining if the system under evaluation meets E3 design specifications and/or assess its ability to function in its intended operational electromagnetic environment from both a safety and reliability standpoint.

    • Travel is involved as much as 10% of time.  

    • Having direct customer interface and communication and will work together as a Team for a wide variety of test events.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Vocational/technical training beyond high school

    • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

    • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • One (1) year demonstrated experience to perform RF measurements using power meters, spectrum analyzers, and computer software.
