If you are a student looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! This role is an exciting opportunity to support the HVACR Technologies business. Based in our Dayton, OH location at our Helix Innovation Center, you will work closely with a project lead and team throughout the semester.

AS AN INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP CO-OP, YOU WILL:

  • Build businesses that deliver value to Copeland customers by solving their burning problems

  • Do Business Development & Strategy work to discover needs of customers and align them with innovative technology and robust business models

  • Build a deep understanding of the project: stakeholders, technology, and environment

  • Design & run tests to evaluate the strength of a business opportunity

  • Build research plans & conduct interviews with customers

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, subject matter experts and business leaders

WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Design, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field

  • Ability to work potentially 40 hours per week during the scheduled semester

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Design, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or Business Administration

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

  • Sophomore or higher class status

  • Experience doing business development work

  • Experience working & brainstorming in interdisciplinary teams

  • Confidence in managing and building your own To-do list from complex project requirements

  • Confidence in writing and communicating – high attention to detail

  • Comfort in both leadership and followership roles

  • Enjoys learning fast and has fun exploring BIG questions

About our Location

The Helix Innovation center is a 40,000-square-foot facility located on the University of Dayton’s campus in Dayton, Ohio. The Helix Center includes five, full-scale, simulated environments including a working commercial kitchen, a two-story residential home, a grocery store, a data center, and a light commercial building. The Helix Innovation Center is advancing research and education for the global HVACR industry by simulating how our products directly impact the industry, and through our innovation and research to continuously improve the food safety and quality for consumers, from farm to fork. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Helix Innovation Center location.
