Lead Preschool Teacher

Our Award-Winning Goddard School, located at 10211 Krause Road in Chesterfield, is hiring a Lead Preschool Teacher full-time that has 6 plus months of experience working in a preschool setting.  We are an accredited preschool serving 6 weeks - 12 years of age.  

Overview

A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for:

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Maintaining a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers
• Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and participates in parent-teacher conferences
• Maintains a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore
• Responds to the needs of children
• Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans for assigned classroom
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and /or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded
• Observes all rules and regulations of The Goddard School and local, state regulatory agencies
• Supervises and works well with an assistant teacher
• Keeps accurate attendance numbers at all times, including signing children in/out in the attendance binder and on the tablet

Educational Qualifications

All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher, must have either a degree in Education (Associated or Bachelor's) or CDA.  Applicants can also be enrolled in college courses or the CDA program at the time of applying.
