development, research, and engineering support services for space science
and exploration systems. Space Lab is always looking for people who are

discovery, as well as learning and solving challenging technical problems.
Space Lab is currently looking for a Thermal Engineer Level II to support
research and development of advanced technology for human space exploration
and space science. This position specifically involves development of the
Lunar Effects on Agricultural Flora Beta (LEAF β) payload for
operations on the Lunar surface, which is crew deployed during the NASA
Artemis III mission (may be manifested on a later mission). This position
reports to the LEAF β Principal Engineer. The expected start date
for this position is July 1, 2024.
Responsibilities:
The Thermal Engineer Level II (TME II) supports the development of the
LEAF β thermal system for payload heat rejection. This includes the
radiator system, MLI, structural coatings, internal ventilation,
chamber humidity control, instrument suite thermal control, electronics
thermal control, and the sample return temperature control. The TME II
