ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary:
The Admissions Counselor is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of
new, traditional, non-traditional, transfer, adult, and evening
undergraduate students to our institution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related
duties may be assigned.
Responsible for assigned recruiting territory, including:
recruitment travel
maintaining comparative territory tracking records
identifying demographic trends
building relationships with the schools and Community Based Organizations
within their assigned territory
facilitating contact with prospective students, enrollment influencers such
as counselors, teachers and parents though e-mail, web, telephone,
personal visits, direct mail
maintaining admission and scholarship lists for recruitment purposes
Responsible for setting recruitment goals for an assigned territory. Must be
innovative and entrepreneurial in territorial programming.
Participates in all team opportunities by contributing updates, ideas and
potential improvements to recruitment and enrollment tactics.
