Beauty Pilot Plant Operators support trial innovation while collaborating with R&D Category Process Partners. Pilot Plant Operators offer input on many aspects of trial planning and execution. The Pilot Plant Operator is responsible for equipment set-up and operation as well as post-trial cleaning. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the equipment and room GMP conditions and supplies. Responsible for safety compliance as they train their Category Partners on area use as well as equipment operation. Pilot Plant Operators additionally maintain bulk raw material feed readiness and support the disposition of materials and product post-trial. Other specialized responsibilities may include similar operation support with the aerosol filling processes. They are the owners of a regularly assigned suite of process rooms while also flowing to the work and supporting other team members of the pilot plant based on business demand. As part of the Beauty Pilot Plant team, you will have the opportunity to learn and understand process transformations related to multiple products and Categories within Beauty. Similarly working relationships will be built with Category process and formulation teams as well as other support groups.

Job Qualifications

Technical Systems Skills: Prefer experience in process or technical product development. Tanks, pumps, agitators, heat exchangers, mills, powder incorporation and product filling equipment will be used on a daily basis. Diverse, Collaborative Communications/Relationships/In-Touch – The individual will need to interface across customers from multiple Beauty Categories as well as other support groups (QA, Safety, Beauty Operations). Operates with Discipline: Plans, Follows Through, Attention to detail. High capacity and ability to multi-task. The Pilot Plant Operator will be supporting multiple process trials on a daily basis. Safety & Quality Consciousness: critical to maintaining the equipment and rooms in a neat and orderly manner for both safety and GMP readiness. Computer Literate: will be regularly working with Microsoft programs (Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel) and other specialized documentation data systems. Other experiences that have application are: Quality assurance, equipment/process development, manufacturing plant experience. No travel is required. The role is not conducive to less than full time or regular work from home.
