Description
The ASE Block Storage SRE team seeks an experienced software engineer to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize large-scale foundational storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine software engineering and automation expertise with an understanding of x86 computing, networking, Linux, and distributed systems. You'll collaborate closely with development engineers and software engineering leaders in this role to design and implement systems, tools, and services that enable cloud-scale storage solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Senior-level Golang development experience
- 5+ years in a Software Engineering role
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- High-Level understanding of Block, File, or Object storage systems
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Bash,Java, Python, or Rust
- Ability to drive a project from a simple idea to production
- Strong understanding of computer science concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or deploying applications on cloud platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
