Job Description:
Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers / Laborers to work at locations in Marshall Co., Minnesota.
From: 05/01/2024 to 09/01/2024
Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins, augers, trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as forklift, loader; Load inputs such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Clean work areas and maintain grounds; Maintain inventory; Drive truck to haul fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information.
Work performed includes exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, walking, and repetitive movements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: No experience required, employer will train. Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate non-CDL driver's license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. No minimum education required.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
