JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Lab Assistant East Clinic - 5249 East Terrace
Drive, 5249 East Terrace Dr., Madison, Wisconsin, United States of
America Req #1733 Thursday, November 16, 2023 Group Health Cooperative
of South Central Wisconsin. BETTER TOGETHER Full time. Hours: Monday
through Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Occasional weekends. Why join our
comprehensive laboratory department? Stable work Monday through Friday
with interesting work using various procedures and instruments.
GHC-SCW\'s smaller laboratory team provides a strong sense of community
within the department and increased access and closer relationships to
the department leadership team. Work only 3 weekend shifts per year, on
average! Work only 1 holiday per year! No third shift rotations! Free
parking at all GHC clinic locations! The Medical Lab Assistant is
responsible for performance of phlebotomy, laboratory clerical work, and
selected laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include: order entry,
patient preparation, specimen collection, and blood drawing using
standardized phlebotomy procedures. Additionally the incumbent processes
specimens and performs basic waived lab testing. The Medical Lab
Assistant works under the general guidance, direction and supervision of
the Medical Laboratory Manager and/or the Chief Medical Technologist.
Daily operational guidance and direction may be received from the Lead
Medical Technologist. The incumbent knows and abides by all Group Health
Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) organizational and

quality work in completing assignments, performs job duties in a timely
manner, and represents the organization in a positive manner.The
