JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Summary The Sr. Supervisor - Production
provides leadership and direction to an assigned team, and is the
manager point of contact for the assigned area. This role focuses on
strategic continuous improvement and area processes to deliver line
stability and drive employee engagement improvements. The Sr.
Supervisor - Production provides leadership to the team to ensure that
all Safety, Quality, Cost, and Customer Delivery goals are achieved. KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS): Plan, establish, direct, and
supervise the activities of the team members by communicating job
expectations, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and
disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems,
policies, and procedures. Enforce and maintain compliance with food
safety, employee safety and sanitation policies and programs. Maintain
workflow by monitoring steps of the process; set processing variables;
observe control points; monitor personnel and resources; initiate and
foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Provide
manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and
analyzing production performance records and data; answer questions and
respond to requests. Analyze operations data to identify opportunities
and drive action to improve and resolve them. Request and ensure timely
follow-up on equipment repairs & service by entering EAM requests.
Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and to improve
production methods, equipment performance, product quality and
efficiency. Recommend and execute personnel actions, including hiring,
employee evaluations, terminations and promotions. Utilizing continuous
improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve
processes. Develop, recommend and implement measures to improve safety,
working conditions, productions methods, efficiency, cost reduction,
asset utilization, equipment performance, and quality of product. Assist
R&D with product testing and samples. Follow-up with HR & the Payroll
Administrator upon receipt of any new employee information (i.e. address
change, doctor\'s note, status change, resignation letter, etc.) Inform
Payroll Administrator when premium pay is applicable for employees
covering in other positions. Responsible for output of production
