2501318The Marketing Strategist will drive a portfolio of high-value strategic initiatives with the objective of enabling profitable revenue and market share growth. This role will require a high degree of agility, undertaking a wide array of initiative types. The Marketing Strategist will help identify high-value opportunities, build business cases, conduct research and analysis, develop solutions, gain cross-functional input and alignment, and ensure execution. One focus will be on product management and will include shaping and directing product go-to-market campaigns. Other potential focus areas are new market exploration, sales-enablement tool development, and marketing/sales campaigns. This high-visibility role is part of UniFirst’s Strategic Marketing team and will partner with senior leaders and other stakeholders in driving breakthroughs for our business.
Responsibilities:
- Collects and analyses data on customer needs, market conditions, competitor products and activities, and other sources to inform UniFirst strategies
- Develops sales and marketing initiatives based on strategic insights and drives them through execution
- Manages key product initiatives, including go-to-market campaigns
- Develops solutions for Sales performance and efficiency improvement, such as tools for presenting proposals to customers
- Coordinates with cross functional teams, including Supply Chain, Sales, Field Operations, FP&A, and senior leadership
- Conveys analysis and recommendations via presentations and written reports
- Assists with developing and managing the Strategic Marketing team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA or equivalent degree in a relevant field preferred5+ years of business experience, including 2+ years in a strategy development role
- Proven success in developing actionable business strategies based on rigorous analytics
- Experience managing marketing campaigns
- Experience directing technology development
- Strong communication skills, including formal presentations and cross-functional influence
- Strong project management skills
- Strong agility and multi-tasking capabilities
- Strong drive and sense of mission
