The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division. We believe people with diabetes should have the freedom to enjoy active lives. That’s why we’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health more effectively and comfortably, with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

The Project Manager, U.S. Marketing Operations supports US commercialization of new products, and management of key marketing initiatives. You’ll define, plan, coordinate and integrate activities associated with new product launches or upgrades/changes to existing products, or key marketing tactics, including management of project scope and deliverables with representation from all key functional areas.

What You'll Work On

  • Responsible for managing medium to large-scale projects from beginning to end, with accountability for project execution. Collaborate with team in establishing ground rules and chartering team.
  • Develop and manage project plan to meet deliverables, including cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrate stewardship and provide project leadership to meet Division strategies and business objectives.
  • Responsible for identifying critical project issues and risks, proactively manage project opportunities/ issues/ risks, including timely communication to senior leadership.
  • Deliver project excellence by incorporating best practices in project management to meet and or exceed customer needs. Identify process issues and recommend improvements to team members and management. Resolve project team conflicts.
  • Act as point of contact for project reporting & updates. Create and deliver project review presentations. Provide support as required to Program or Portfolio Management
  • Provide cross-functional forecasting, tracking, reporting and oversight on project budget, expenditures, and metrics.

The ideal candidate will be a keen, hands-on problem solver and a strong, adaptable leader with a passion to drive improvement and results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or a technical discipline.
  • 5-8 years of managing projects is required including knowledge of Program Management tools such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Creatively solve project issues and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills are required in leading cross-function team
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to clearly communicate project progress and needs at all levels.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills; capable of building cross-functional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience in product development or medical device product is desirable.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) strongly desired

The base pay for this position is $98,000.00 – $196,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
