Job Description:
Laurel Village, a 727-unit apartment community in downtown Minneapolis (Employee's Park Free), is seeking to hire someone to join the Painting Team.
Job Details:
Hours - Full Time (Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00pm)
Limited required overtime weekend/evening work for turnover painting on the last day or first day of the month.
Pay Range - $25.00 - $32.00 / hour (based on experience)

Painter Responsibilities:
Painting of or oversight of vendors for both exterior and interior projects; including materials made from but not limited to iron railings, stucco, drywall, metals, and woods.
Painting and repair of or oversight of vendors painting and repairing residential units at turnover and/or occupied units that need repair or touchups.
Installation of and or oversight of vendors installing a variety of wall coverings.
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, patching, and sanding.
Cover floors, furniture, and fixtures with protective materials.
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Ensure even application and proper coverage.
Mix and match paint to desired color and texture.
Make drywall repairs (patch, sand, paint, ceiling spray, texture) as needed.
Identify and address areas that require additional attention or touch-ups.
Maintain an inventory of paints, brushes, and other supplies.
Order and replenish materials as necessary.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to painting and coatings.
Work closely with all team members and contractors.
Light maintenance, such as changing furnace filters.
Ensure that all finished work meets quality standards and resident expectations.

Painter Qualifications:
Proven experience as a professional painter with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Previous experience managing vendors, setting schedules, and overseeing projects preferred.
Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to interpret plans and follow specific instructions and work as a team or independently.
Strong attention to detail and precision; producing consistent, quality work.
Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
Strong communication and customer service skills required.
