About the role:

The Maple Grove Operations Finance Team is looking for a highly motivated Principal Cost Accountant to join our team. This individual will provide financial analysis and accounting support to the Maple Grove Manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who possesses strong relationship building and communication skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintain and reconcile all components of cost in 3 systems for AOP and Strategic Plan
Provide analysis, distribution and reporting of other production variances weekly
Process month end close including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation as related to the Maple Grove manufacturing facility
Yield input and product cost scrap calculation
Creation of Variance and Reserves Reports
Creation of P&L by division for AOP, Strat Plan and all forecasting cycles
Provide support for internal and external audits as relates to MG manufacturing facility
Maintenance of representative part cross reference table
Problem solving related to complex routers and BOM's within SAP
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
5-7+ years of relevant experience
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
Very strong analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be a quick learner and able to engage well with internal customers
Strong Excel skills required, Financial tools ( SAP, Adaptive Planning.) preferred
An interest in making process improvements
