Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Information Technology, the Junior Security Analyst serves as a member of the SIPA IT security team. The primary role of the Junior Security Analyst is to research and report on security vulnerabilities and serve as a liaison with IT units on security concerns. The Junior Security Analyst assists with related projects as requested.

Responsibilities
Monitor our XDR platform incidents and alerts pages for accuracy and providing reports.
Assist in digital forensics investigations and advanced hunting.
Monitor and report Sentinel notifications and alerts.
Implement new security and DLP policies in Azure compliance center and Microsoft Defender XDR as instructed.
Research new vulnerabilities, exploits, and viruses/trojans in the wild.
Monitor black/greyhat avenues proactively for information and/or data that may directly or indirectly affect the security of the SIPA network and its resources.
Prepare weekly vulnerability reports.
Interface with other IT groups on proper security practices.
Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
