Associate Director, Business Development

What the day will look like

  • The development and execution of a defined sales strategy
  • Developing a robust sales and prospecting pipeline focusing the local and large market
  • Ownership and full responsibility for converting those identified prospects into clients and managing an appropriate handover to the Account Management Teams
  • Developing cross-sell opportunities by demonstrating risk and people expertise and an ability to help solve clients’ needs
  • Leading and managing responses to tenders and developing quality presentations as needed, working with the relevant expertise
  • Driving cross-selling and up-selling activities, including where appropriate the introduction of Aon United colleagues/services
  • Following the Aon sales process protocols, including clearly defined sales strategy and activity, accurate pipeline reporting updates through Aon Connect
  • Performing other duties and tasks as reasonably assigned by the Manager
  • Contributing, as required, to Health Solutions initiatives & leadership forums

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • University graduate with minimum 10 years’ working experience in Employee Benefits in broker firm(s) or insurance company(ies) preferred
  • Holder of FLMI or passed in IIQE Paper I, II, III & IV are preferred
  • Mature and be a self-starter
  • Good organization skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Good analytics and negotiations skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage
  • Good command of computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
