QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of the requirements of a master’s degree from an accredited school of social work or equivalent in related field such as psychology, social work, or guidance and counseling as appropriate to the needs of the particular position.
- State certification or licensure, commensurate with accrued experience and degree obtained (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP, LLMFT, LMFT).
- A minimum of one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families, pre- or post-masters, with experience with the 0-6 population preferred.
- Infant Mental Health Specialist Endorsement (through the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health), preferred, or willingness to apply for and work towards endorsement.
- Certification in the Devereaux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) preferred.
- Other special abilities, skills and credentials such as experience working in the Community Mental Health System, substance use disorder qualifications, experience with youth with serious emotional disturbances, family systems work, trauma-informed care, delivery of home-based models and use of evidenced based models.
- Selected candidates for this position must possess a sensitivity to the diversity of the agency’s service population including (but not limited to) differences of culture, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation and socioeconomic.
- Special abilities and skills necessary to perform the required tasks and that best meet the needs of the agency also will be considered. There may be some standards above that may be waived when compensating specifications or circumstances exist if they do not preclude state Medicaid requirements to provide Home Based services.
- Although employees have use of the Agency vehicle fleet to conduct business and are covered under our insurance, employees must provide documentation of personal vehicle liability insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person/ $300,000 per incident. Employees also must provide documentation of a valid driver’s license on an annual basis as well as proof of registration. In some instances, depending on the nature and frequency of driving, a chauffeur’s license must be obtained. (may obtain within sixty days of hire).
