POSITION PURPOSE UW Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Life. We provide safe, accessible, and dynamic recreation experiences to engage students in growth and wellbeing. UW Recreation serves over one million students, faculty, and staff each academic year through informal and formal recreation, including fitness and sports classes, intramural and club sports, outdoor education, mindfulness programs, and more. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Manager, Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for teaching specialized classes such as dance, cardio, and/or strength and conditioning classes. Examples of duties include: Group Fitness Instructor I must have been teaching between 0-3 years. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ADDITIONAL REQUIRMENTS Application Process: The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process. These assessments may include Work Authorization, Cover Letter and/or others. Any assessments that you need to complete will appear on your screen as soon as you select “Apply to this position”. If you select to take it later, it will appear on your "My Jobs" page to take when you are ready.
