The Division of Hospitalist and General Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a fulltime General Internal Medicine physician to serve at the University of Maryland Midtown Health Center, an ambulatory academic practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Midtown Campus (UMMC- MTC). Clinical responsibilities will include managing a panel of patients in primary care as well as participating in call coverage with other members of the team. The successful candidate will practice with a multi-disciplinary approach alongside other service providers to optimize patient experiences and outcomes.
This position will also provide educational supervision and oversight to medical students and residents, as the site serves as the ambulatory continuity practice for the UMMC-MTC Internal Medicine residency program. Finally, this position will engage in community outreach and patient education as well as participate in service projects to increase visibility and benefit to the community.
Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $171,493 (min) and $267,554 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
