Hotel Maintenance Technician Descriptions and Duties

  • Solder/braze
  • Unplug toilet and drains
  • Change bath and toilet fixtures
  • Fix faucets
  • Drywall and painting functions include:
  • Small repairs in walls and ceilings due to water damage.
  • Must blend repairs with existing wall or ceiling fixtures.
  • Minor painting of rooms, doors, trim and ceilings.
  • Carpentry functions include:
  • Repair and fabricate chairs, tables, walls, floor, cabinetry, shelves etc.
  • Must understand demonstrate correct use of hand and power tools. * Electrical functions include:
  • Change outlets, wall switches, light fixtures, appliances, AC/p-tacs and related items.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot, read schematics, and diagnose electrical equipment.
  • Will work with voltages from 24v to 240 volt 3 phase and the correct use of meters and testing meters.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as part of preventive maintenance program.
  • Repairs and maintains commercial laundry equipment.
  • Participates on the Safety Committee.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Experience 

  • two years experience in electric, plumbing and carpentry crafts. Vocational school training preferred.
