JOB PURPOSE

Responsible to support Accounting & Finance leadership in the financial management of the company, which includes but is not limited to budgeting, forecasting, operations assessment, financial modeling, and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) analysis; performs special projects as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with all levels of management to evaluate financial information to determine present and future company performance.
  • Gathers and organizes monthly and quarterly financial data and assists in the preparation of financial statements and adhoc reports; maintains monthly expense reporting and variance analysis for assigned cost centers.
  • Creates reporting packages summarizing operating results in a cohesive and concise manner.
  • Conducts a financial analysis of actuals vs. plan vs. prior year; analyzes trends in revenue, expense and other related areas.
  • Prepares various analyses for board meetings, investor presentations and business unit/practice overviews; leads or conducts related adhoc projects.
  • Contributes to the development of the annual budget and related quarterly forecasts; provides direct assistance to management staff in the creation of department-specific budgets.
  • Supports the long term strategic planning process by developing financial models to validate assumptions and estimate potential impacts.
  • Utilizes analytics to make recommendations that drive improved data accuracy and validity while helping to achieve expense targets.
  • Performs financial modeling, data warehousing and business intelligence reporting; identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly. 
  • Participates in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions; conducts M&A (Merger and Acquisition) valuations and general analysis.
  • Prepares models to project variable compensation forecasts and assistance in the development of ongoing compensation plans.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred) from a four-year college or university and four to seven years or more of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior Experience Specifically Required

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing strong analytical skills, working on multiple projects with stringent deadlines
  • Financial modeling and business intelligence experience
  • Strong knowledge in the use of MS Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
