job summary:
A Designer is needed for a utility holding company in the Edina, MN area. This design position involves managing distribution design projects, providing cost-effective designs, obtaining permits, representing the company with stakeholders, and ensuring safe operating facilities for customers.

responsibilities:
Manage projects from initial customer contact through post-project analysis.
Establish and manage construction work plans to meet customer schedules, design requirements, and financial constraints.
Design safe operating facilities for customers according to company standards and administrative guidelines.
Provide distribution design project management for least complex areas of design.
Generate additional revenue through contracts with new or existing customers.
Obtain permits and easements for facilities in compliance with regulations.
Execute contracts and agreements according to administrative instructions and regulatory requirements.
