The successful Energy Services Analyst will play a vital role in leading the development and deployment of innovative features for our Electric Choice program alongside our local and global digital teams, business stakeholders, and strategic partners to ensure our vision is translated to successful customer and supplier solutions.

POSITION SCOPE

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with external stakeholders including our growing number of certified retail electric suppliers (CRES providers), our regional transmission organization (PJM) and the public utilities commission (PUCO). Internally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with different departments including legal/regulatory, accounting, IT, the call center/back-office support, meter reading, executive leadership and many others. As an Energy Services analyst for the Electric choice team, you will also contribute to the AES Customer Ecosystem (ACE) project. The ACE project is a critical initiative that will allow AES to improve the usability of its core systems and create scalable solutions which will be the foundation for transforming its business and customer/electric supplier experience - including replacement of the legacy systems at AES Ohio. You will have an important role in the successful delivery of our conversion to our new SAP customer information system (CIS) as well as ongoing support of the system through our hyper-care phase of the project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support for our certified retail electric suppliers (CRES providers) through the onboarding new suppliers, troubleshooting enrollment/billing issues and delivering innovative features for our Electric Choice program
Completes various weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports to accommodate the requirements of regulating bodies and/or internal upper-level management
Produce daily electric choice switching reports to internally track switching trends and activity of C&I customers
Monitor electric choice work-flow manager items within billing system - Including processing of supplier drops/rescissions due to bankruptcies or low-income programs, supplier reinstatement of accounts closed in error & reporting of money-only adjustments
Verify daily payment file to suppliers for accuracy before sending to management for approval
Monitor daily control reports to ensure successful integration of energy management system with other applicable systems

PREFERRED SKILLS

Ability to become acquainted with a variety of software applications including energy settlements systems, customer information systems and metering systems
Familiarity with SQL and Visual Basic preferred
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access preferred
