The Diamond Symposium is a thoughtfully organized Future Talent Event hosted by Dow primarily intended for Canadian undergraduate University and Technical College students from diverse backgrounds across Canada that are interested in careers within Manufacturing & Engineering (Operations).
As Dow’s largest function, Operations is comprised of employees supporting our Canada Manufacturing facilities. As an Operations employee, you will fill a role that directly impacts plant performance on a day-to-day basis, supports the maintenance & reliability of a facility, maintains our high standard of environmental, health, and safety (EH&S), and develops business-centric emerging technology/process control strategies. Key areas of emphasis are EHS&S performance, product quality, maintaining and optimizing operating costs, and all aspects of plant technical performance such as yield, energy efficiency, production rates, and asset utilization. You will help produce materials that address challenges related to affordable and efficient supply of food, suitable housing, and high performing buildings, improved personal health and comfort, and advancements in emerging technologies such as electric vehicles and smart devices.
