Niagara Falls. Empire State Development, USAN. Sr. Project Manager. $76,000 - $80,000/hour. BASIC FUNCTION: Lead and support development and administration of development and infrastructure projects that advance the Empire State Development (ESD) subsidiary USANs mission to encourage growth and renewal of the tourism industry in the City of Niagara Falls. WORK PERFORMED: * Lead/support planning, design, and construction of projects (as owners representative) involving public infrastructure, park improvements, real estate development, property acquisition, and/or projects involving USAN/ESD financial grants/incentives for private development, within the USA Niagara downtown Niagara Falls development district. * Lead/support special planning efforts, studies, analyses, cost estimates, grant applications, budget requests, requests for proposals ("RFPs") for both professional services and development, and other activities necessary to support the development and/or implementation of revitalization initiatives. * Oversee consultant teams providing technical assistance for USAN projects. * Prepare and assist in the preparation of briefings, summaries, white papers, and other communications. * Establish/maintain contact with stakeholders, local businesses and government officials and staff. * Promote and assist in the administration of ESD and USAN grant programs. * Prepare administrative documents, including reports, presentation materials and origination documents. * As necessary, provide selective support for activities in the ESD Western New York ("WNY") Region. * Other projects/initiative as assigned by the President. * Position expected to work onsite and/or remote consistent with NYS and ESD guidelines and needs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Education Level required: A bachelor's (i.e., professional) degree in architecture or engineering; or a masters degree in urban planning, business administration, construction management, or related field. Regardless, education/training should be with a development and/or real estate focus. Associate degree with 10 years+ direct related experience may be substituted. * Relevant experience required: Five (5) years' experience in business, institutional, consulting, project management and/or government agency work in planning, redevelopment, economic development, construction management or related field, with specific experience in skills involved in real estate/ infrastructure development and construction. Two years of professional experience may be substituted for a master's degree. * Knowledge required: Strong knowledge of Niagara Falls/WNY development context; Planning/construction/cost estimates; Project development and government relations, public policy, data/financial analyses; effective writing and oral communication skills.
