Hiring Range: The base/starting wage for this position is $14.47 per
hour, which increases based on years of service/experience.
Work Schedule: Generally, 30-40 hours per week, flexible schedule,
weekends, evenings, and early mornings required on occasion.
NATURE OF WORK
As a member of the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Division, individuals
in this position will perform all aspects of events for the Town of Windsor
and its partners and has broad authority to assure events are successful from
pre-event work to post-event. The Event Specialist works closely with the
Recreation Coordinator of Events and Sponsorships, outside event
coordinators, contractors, vendors, and attendees. Considerable
professional judgment and decision-making skills are required. The Event
Specialist assists with the operation of events that occur within the Town of
Windsor. Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the Event
Specialist consults with the planner/event coordinators and guides them
through the planning process to ensure a successful event. Once the event is
on-site, the Event Specialist oversees the safety and security of guests and
the preservation of the facilities, overall event operation and promotes the
highest guest services standards.
Most positions work Monday through Friday, which may also require weekend
and evening hours on a regular or occasional basis. This temporary employment
