Dignity Health Hospitals in Bakersfield include Mercy Hospital - Downtown, Mercy Hospital - Southwest, and Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.  

Responsibilities

Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), a service of Dignity Health, is seeking a Psychiatrist to join a busy practice in Santa Maria, California. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced provider to join the second-largest non-profit healthcare system in the United States.

PHC offers competitive compensation inclusive of a base guaranteed salary and productivity incentives alongside a comprehensive benefits package including retirement and paid malpractice (with tail coverage). We offer a professional enviro
nment and the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population.

Details:

  • Total Compensation: $300,000 - $375,000 (inclusive of base salary plus performance incentives) sign on bonus (up to $50k), relocation assistance (up to $20k)

  • Full Time employment preferred (part time may be considered)

  • Patients ages 18 and older ONLY, all pediatrics are seen by the County of Santa Barbara, Behavioral Wellness staff 

  • Current schedule: Mon - Thurs 7:30am - 5pm, Fri 8 - 12pm; mobile crisis team takes over for ED or CSU; schedule split between outpatient and inpatient mornings and afternoons

  • Consult liaison inpatient service consists of 4 - 6 hours per day, remainder of day in outpatient clinic

  • Crisis Stabilization Unit on campus, managed separately by Vituity 

  • Join team of 1 Psychiatrist, 1 Physician Assistant, 2 Licensed Psychiatric Technicians

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Assessment/evaluation of psychiatric illnesses

  • Develop treatment plan/intervention

  • Medication Management

  • Enter orders for tests, medications, therapies, etc.

  • Discharge planning / outpatient follow up care


Qualifications
  • CA Medical license 

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry
