The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Are you interested in starting or advancing your career with New York State? Greater Binghamton Health Center is recruiting for a Licensed Psychologist. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.

As a Licensed Psychologist, you would supervise and/or provide professional psychological services. In addition to assessment and treatment, your duties may include: clinical leadership; program management; forensic or court-ordered assessment, treatment and expert testimony; psychological services requiring expertise in neuropsychology, child and adolescent psychology, geropsychology, sex offense treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, trauma, and substance and/or chemical abuse programs; specialized assessment (functional, personality, risk, competency, vocational, education); design and application of behavioral technology and other specialized psychological interventions; individual, group or family therapy; crisis intervention; consultation to other agencies; training; and peer review.

The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered to practice Psychology in New York State.

OR

Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
