Responsibilities and Expectations:
We are looking for a talented Electronic Repair / Field Service Technician to perform service, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance. This technician would be required to occasionally do repairs out in the field at customers facilities. This Service Technician must demonstrate strong repair skills and commitment to provide an Unmatched Customer Experience.
Responsibilities may include:
Provides quality installation, inspections, and preventative maintenance on Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), servo controllers, DC drives programming.
Electronic repair on controls, VFD's, servo controllers, and may involve work in the field.
Read schematics, to test and modify the operational or developmental electrical control circuitry of equipment and machinery.
Use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, single generators, soldering and de-soldering stations.
Identify components at board level and have reverse engineering and retrofitting skills.
Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs VFDs and other equipment
Completes and maintains all paperwork associated with service requests
Maintains a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
Conducts all activity in a safe manner by adhering to policies and procedure, such as, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and warranty
Must participate and successfully complete all training as required by the company
Training of technicians
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability and willingness to travel to job sites, do overnight travel, and work nights and weekends, as needed
Basic Understating of Electric Motors - Rotating equipment
Knowledge of Microsoft office
Knowledge of electrical theory
Strong computer competency, including the use of Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
