differences. Under the direction of MV Drives Service Manager, Field
Service provides technical onsite and offsite support and expertise in
response to a variety of site work requests, telephone calls and emails
regarding installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive
maintenance and programming questions and to technical problems
encountered by users of ABB Medium Voltage drives and systems. This in
turn results in different actions on the part of the individual
depending on the specific circumstances of each case. Execution is
performed in a timely manner.This is a position with global grade 15Your
responsibilities Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting,
preventative maintenance, and repair of ABB Medium Voltage (MV) Variable
Frequency Drives (VFD) for both land based and off-shore applications.
Investigate problems and independently initiate effective measures for
their solution. Coordinate activities with related groups to most
efficiently achieve objectives to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate proactively in contributing feedback regarding product
quality issues to reduce warranty costs. Carry out preparatory work
regarding spare parts, testing of tools and equipment, and documentation
as required. Submit completed, detailed, and comprehensive service
reports in a timely manner and follows up when needed. Coaches and
provides technical guidance to fellow colleagues, departments, and
customers. Communicate effectively and present information to top
management, customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
