Responsibilities
The Clamp Truck driver will operate a powered industrial clamp truck to select and prepare rolls from inventory to the production line
Completes daily maintenance inspection on clamp truck, operates clamp truck in accordance with all safety procedures and performs daily cleanup of truck
Monitors propane level and changes tank as needed
Reads production lineup to determine what rolls are required, selects them from inventory and supplies the machine accordingly
Removes partially run rolls after they have exited the machine; ensures rolls have been labeled with size, grade, date and returns them to correct location in the warehouse
Operates starch room equipment according to formula for starch mixture production
Checks viscosity and gel temp of starch for the corrugator
Assisting Roll Receiver - ensures dock locks are enabled prior to unloading trucks and doors are closed on rail cars after unloading
Ensures all incoming rolls are tagged and scanned prior to placing roll stock in designated areas of warehouse to ensure proper rotation of inventory
Scans roll each time it is moved to track location in the warehouse
Maintains a neat and orderly roll room, starch room and receiving area
Responsible for keeping equipment clean of any debris or scrap material
Attends all safety training provided by the employer
