POSITION: Lead Carpenter.
DUTIES: Lead Carpenter is responsible for professional completion of
framing and siding and manage in-house carpentry crew on multiple homes
simultaneously. About Us: We are a small, production home builder located
in Leadville, the highest City in the US, in the heart of the Colorado
Rockies, with nine to twelve starts per year. Focused on thoughtful,
healthy, energy efficient homes with Colorado mountain charm and options to
add space and upgrade finishes. E
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Framing and Siding
o Frame and side homes per CDs, applicable building codes, best
practices, specs, options and other relevant documents
o Layout floor, wall and truss framing. Layout dry-in and siding
o Manage and work alongside in-house framing crew
o Set and enforce expectations for production and efficiency
o Create and execute daily work plans for carpentry crew
o Verify material required for work plans is on-site
o Store and use material efficiently
o Complete work with a high level of care and efficiency
o Ensure tools, equipment, materials and jobsite are secured against
theft, vandalism and weather etc. at the end of each day
o Occasionally manage/mitigate site weather conditions including snow
removal, blanketing, temporary
