Job Description

The Town of Great Barrington is hiring for on-demand van drivers. The drivers will provide transit service for seniors and the general public. This position is up to 19-hours per week, with flexible schedules, and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. An additional $2.00 per hour differential is provided for all hours worked outside of Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. The program operates Mon-Fri 6:30am-9pm, Sat-Sun 7:30am-9pm

On-demand van drivers have the ability to pick up open shifts through our scheduling app, as well as if van drivers call out (similar to a substitute teacher role). Shifts must be picked up at least once every four weeks to remain active in the system. Customer service experience highly preferred. No CDL necessary. Paid training. Drug test and physical required.

Required Criteria:
- A Standard Class D Driver's license, successful CORI check, and a clean driving record are required.
- Applicants will need to pass a pre-employment physical, which includes a drug and alcohol screening.
