The major responsibility of this position involves instruction and supervision of dental hygiene students while they provide patient services in the Minnesota State University, Mankato Dental Clinic.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry as a dental hygienist.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of periodontal treatment techniques using both hand instrumentation and ultrasonic instrumentations.

  • Knowledge of digital software and digital radiography.

  • Knowledge of other duties and procedures within the dental hygiene scope of practice.

  • Communicate with staff, students, patients, and other dental personnel.

  • Knowledge of sterilization and preparation of dental operatory according to CDC guidelines.

  • Perform all duties in the dental hygiene scope of practice in accordance with licensure in the State of Minnesota.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

Additional Requirements

Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating in and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
