What You'll Do
Americold Maintenance Apprenticeship
The Americold Maintenance Apprenticeship is a 6 to 8-month, part-time, paid apprenticeship that takes place in various locations throughout the country. The apprenticeship opportunity will afford our apprentices to better understand of the maintenance and refrigeration of a temperature-controlled warehouse, while working up your education - the ability to take what you are learning in the classroom and put it into immediate practice. We will give you the training and guidance to build a successful career.

This role will be located in our Lakeville, MN facility.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Learn and assist with basic repairs, adjustment of doors, dock levelers, pallet racks, sweepers, sprinkler systems, forklifts, pallet trucks, and electrical work in accordance with OSHA Standards.
* Cleans, changes, and lubricates bearings, gears, and other machinery parts using rags, brushes, and grease gun.
* Attend and participate in all assigned training as directed.
What Experience You Need
* HS Diploma or GED.
* Basic Mechanical Aptitude.
* Prior maintenance or mechanical experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
* May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of -15 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).
* Must tolerate heights up to 35 ft. and be able to access elevated platforms and catwalks
* Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch.
* Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to use hands and power tools, and fingers to handle, feel, and/or manipulate parts & tools
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Either naturally or with the aid of eyeglasses.
* Able to pass a physical and respiratory examination.
What Could Set You Apart
* Vocational/technical training or certification is preferred.
* Previous Maintenance experience.
* Industrial experience (manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, etc.).
