TYPE OF POSITION:

REPORTS TO:
ABE Supervisor, Director and Assistant Director of Community Education

SUPERVISION:
None

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Two years post-secondary education or two years relevant work experience
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English language
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred
Experience working with adults


POSITION SUMMARY:
Support and assist adult learners, ABE teachers, administrators and other staff in the areas of ESL (English as a Second Language), literacy development, and other academic areas. Duties include student intake and registration, and tracking attendance.

SALARY:
$16.48/hr - $20.93/hr

APPLICATION PROCESS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Oversee record-keeping process including intakes and attendance
Complete tutor training and lead small groups under the direction of a licensed teacher
Staying in compliance with federal, state, and program requirements
Compile daily attendance and record on spreadsheet for ABE attendance tracking
Assist with student record keeping including assessment, attendance, progress, goal setting, and exit reporting
Assist in recruitment activities
Photocopy materials as needed
Other duties as assigned
