Job Description

The Value Stream Manager will be responsible for the complete coordination and output of several production lines across 2nd shift, including communication with the customer whose products are produced on the line.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Management and leadership of the supervisor and the production staff (appr. 80 employees)
Coordination of a multifunctional support team to prioritize activities
Responsible for personal development and personal strategy
Ensuring the further development/promotion of employees (IDP, People Review)
Proactive planning of production utilization and prioritization of production orders
Creation and presentation of production-relevant key figures
Continuous improvement of production processes
Creation of a budget plan for staff growth
Ensuring lean methods in production (Factory Board, PMS, RCPS)
Focus on shop floor activities (Gemba/waste walk)
Support for lean projects within production (DBS)
Projects related to production optimization (productivity, yield, throughput)
Implementation of measures to obtain the certifications (e.g.: IATF 16949)
Interface with the customer to provide updates on output and line status
Budgeting of the annual need for temporary workers, including the ordering process

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leadership within the production of automotive or electronics industry
Familiarity with industry standards
Knowledge Leadership, Lean Management, SAP and IATF 16949
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement
Will to travel within the United States and to other countries as needed
