Responsibilities:
- Performs IOM monitoring and EP evaluations.
- Performs all functions of an Registered IOM Technologist.
- Performs functional mapping using SSEP, ECOG, and cortical stimulation.
- Assists in documentation and mapping during micro electrode recording.
- Performs nerve action potential recordings of peripheral nerves.
- Provides technical support for epilepsy staff during implantation of subdural grids and SEEG. Ensures ECOG during stereotactic depth implantation.

Education:
- Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field.
Certifications:
- Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring Certification (CNIM) with Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Complexity of Work:
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Work Experience:
- Minimum two years of recent experience in intraoperative monitoring.
- Knowledge and demonstrated competency of instrumentation, testing protocols, techniques, and interventions of intraoperative monitoring and routine EP.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity in order to place electrodes precisely and to operate recording equipment.
- Ability to push and maneuver EEG machine weighing 200 pounds.
- Requires normal or corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Requires some exposure to communicable disease and body fluids.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Â
