Your Opportunity:Taylor Corporation is looking for a Corporate Indirect Materials Buyer to join their team!
Your Responsibilities:
Buyer will process requisitions from Taylor locations into purchase orders
Buyer will be responsible for the life cycle of the purchase orders they create
Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers as well as suppliers
Get weekly updates from suppliers on open PO's ship and arrival dates to ensure the system has the most accurate and up-to-date information
Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements
Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
You Must Have:
High School degree or equivalent
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with all levels of management
A 'can-do' attitude with a strong team player ethic
Ability to make business decisions with the care of an owner
Ability to perceive, use, understand, manage, and handle emotions in the business setting
Good understanding of business ethics and ability to abide by our policies
An intellectual curiosity to grow your knowledge of our business and role
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
We Would Also Prefer:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
2+ years of experience in a procurement role
Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud
