Job Description

 
1 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 01/15/24- 11/14/24. Adjust, Repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Refuels engine, lubricates machine parts, and monitors machine operations to ensure optimum performance. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plow, discs, sprayers' spreaders, or mowers to tractors using bolts and hand tools. Drives, maneuvers, navigates, and operates one or more mechanized equipment such as tractors' trucks, and skid steers to perform specified farm activity such as planting trees, mowing and spraying. Hitches wagons to tractor, and operates tractor and wagon to move bins to staging area. Drives tractor and operates designated towed machine, such as tree planter, spreader, mower: or sprayer to plant, fertilize, mow, and spray trees. Mix specified material or chemicals and dump solutions or powders into sprayers. Spray fertilizer, fungicide, herbicide, or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weed growth, and diseases, using hand or engine powered pump sprayers. Chop out weeds and trim trees using manual or mechanized equipment working as a crew member' Repair apple bins using pneumatic and hand tools. Operate tractors, fork lifts, and trucks to spread apple bins throughout the orchard and haul harvested fruit bins to barn. Clean work areas and maintain grounds. Employer will furnish to workers, without cost, all tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Worker should report for work with their own suitable work clothing. Field temperatures may range from -30 degrees to 90+ degrees (F) and work may be done in the rain, snow, mud, wind, and sun. Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 6 month experience working as an agriculture equipment operator in a farm setting.
